For the prosperity of your ever-expanding kingdom, you will need to prove yourself in constant conflict with your competing adversaries, to garner precious resources and even more critical territory, all the while weathering the dangers of the shifting seasons.

A regular session of Castles may last between 2 and 4 hours, possibly extending much further depending on the given scenario, even offering the opportunity to develop into a legacy game spanning multiple individual sessions, all dependent on your play group's taste and requirements.

Base Scenario / 2nd Prototype

Castles is a 2 to 4-player Hex-Based Strategy game in which you develop your settlement, muster your troops, and raise your fortifications. Castles offers players an open diplomacy system, enabling them to trade freely, strike treaties and form tenuous alliances. The contents include 169 various Hextiles, representing the diverse landscapes. Furthermore, it contains 18 straight- and 6 corner border tiles, the combination of which allowing for nigh limitless adaptability in board sizes and setup. Beyond the complementary scenarios included in the base game, these features support the formation of a communal platform enabling players to engage with and exchange ideas for an abundance of possible alternatives.
